Xochimilco

Multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of research, social communication, and prefigurative politics. Their work focuses on the dissemination and preservation of culturally appropriate foods, such as quelites, as well as on collective writing and self-publishing practices aimed at ecosocial organizing through pedagogies of the non-human and the anti-colonial. Following their participation in the CoLaboratorio “Quelites as a Metaphor of Resistance”, to which they were invited alongside traditional cook and anthropologist Nora Estrada, they have co-organized several events in the participatory art series Ancestral Quelites, Anarchist Quelites with Cocina CoLaboratorio, including a Day of the Dead offering at Humedalia A.C. and a quelitera holiday gathering at Obrera Centro. They were also part of the 2024 Biocultural Living Archive team in Xochimilco, where they led a printmaking and self-publishing workshop together with Alfonso.
They are currently one half of Dupla Molcajete and one half of The Food Commons.
