Emilio Hernández Martínez

Emilio holds a Master of Arts, specializing in Future Studies and Design applied to Social Innovation. His practice focuses on researching and exploring the role of art and design as tools to activate alternative ways of inhabiting the world. Within the project, he works on conceptualizing and implementing art-education projects, guiding various groups in building translocal communal spaces for learning and social action. He collaborates on designing collective learning experiences that create opportunities for participation and training in art, agroecology, and participatory design.

Emilio is the founder of the Centro de Imaginación Oaxaca and serves as the Coordinator of the creative processes for the project in Santo Domingo Tomaltepec, Oaxaca since 2020.
