Lucía studied biology at UNAM and later did a master’s degree in environmental sciences at the State University of New York. He has always been interested in socio-environmental systems, initially through charcoal producers and later through food. In her master’s degree, she studied the role of Lacandon women in their food system with a gender perspective.
Since January 2021 she has participated in the collaborative kitchen cross-sectional team supporting transdisciplinary observation, building experimental plots and also working closely with the cooks.
